Student Award: Danilo Piljevic wins Community Grant for Oceans Week 2025

Current Master of Marine Management student and FPP lab community member Danilo Piljevic was awarded the Ocean Week Halifax Community Event Grant to film a series of short videos across multiple events during Ocean Week Halifax 2025.

Titled “How Does Halifax Get to the Ocean?” the project will investigate why Haligonians value their connection to the coastline and where they go to learn about coastal access opportunities. By conducting interviews with Ocean Week attendees, Danilo hopes to highlight just how important easy access to the coast can be in Canada’s ocean playground.
