Student Graduation: Cara Cripton-Inglis
Congratulations to FPP MA student Cara Cripton-Inglis for successfully defending her thesis on March 31st, 2025!
Cara and Hannah (joining virtually) celebrate Cara’s successful defense.
Cara’s thesis was titled Women on the Water: Perceptions of Human-Nature Relationships from Female Kelp Farmers in Maine and Atlantic Canada, with external evaluator Dr. Kate Sherran and second reader Georgia Klein attending the defense. Cara gave a thoughtful, interesting, and visually compelling presentation about her thesis work, and then successfully responded to evaluator and committee questions over the next hour. Cara demonstrated her in-depth knowledge of her topic and her meaningful relationship with the data and participants in her study through this discussion, impressing the committee especially with her application of feminist theory to her topic.
Congratulations Cara on your successful defense! The FPP is grateful for the thoughtful discussions, ideas, and leadership you’ve shared with our community. You will be missed, but we wish you the very best of success in your next steps.
