Oreoluwa Grace Fayemi, PhD candidate in Applied Agricultural Economics and Policy at the University of Ghana, RSIF Scholar, and visiting scholar with the FPP Lab, has been selected as a finalist in the IFAMA 2026 Best Paper Competition.
Her manuscript, titled Does Participation in the Aquaculture Value Chain Improve Food Security among Fish Farmers? Evidence from Southwest Nigeria was selected from a highly competitive pool of submissions for presentation during the Academic Symposium of the IFAMA 2026 World Conference in Cork, Ireland.

The research contributes to ongoing discussions on sustainable agri-food systems, rural livelihoods, and the role of market participation in improving household welfare.
The International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) conference brings together researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and students from around the world to discuss emerging issues in food and agribusiness systems.
Grace expressed appreciation for the recognition and noted that the opportunity will provide a valuable platform to engage with scholars and practitioners working on food systems, agricultural development, and sustainability.
The IFAMA 2026 World Conference will take place in Cork, Ireland, from June 15–19, 2026.
Big congratulations to Grace for this recognition of her scholarship as she approaches the end of her PhD!
